What do you look for in a boot for impact protection?
This is a difficult one, if you asked me what’s best for impact protection i would say a thick foam with a layer of rubber and hard plastic exterior. BUT while this may protect from bruising what further damage would you be doing to your horses legs? The lack of flexibility could lead to pressure injuries and rubs, the lack of breathability could lead to internal injuries like tendon and ligament damage!
There are many factors that need to be taken into account when looking for a boot, there won’t be one perfect boot, but we believe we have done a GREAT job at making an all round boot after all a jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one.
