How to Store & Care for Your HUSK Products
Taking a little extra care when storing your HUSK products can make a significant difference to their condition, performance and longevity. Keeping them clean, dry and protected from hair, fibres and debris will help ensure they continue to look and perform at their best.
Clean Before You Store
Before storing your HUSK boots or saddle pads, we recommend hosing them down with cold water to remove dirt, sweat, hair and debris.
Once clean, hang them to dry naturally in a well-aerated, dry and preferably mild environment, allowing plenty of air to circulate around the product.
Always make sure your HUSK products are completely clean and dry before storing them. Storing products while they are damp or dirty can affect the condition of the materials over time.
Protect the Hook-and-Loop Fastenings
The hook-and-loop fastenings are an important part of your HUSK boots, so looking after them will help maintain their performance and effectiveness.
Before storing your boots, fasten all hook-and-loop closures evenly and completely, making sure there is no exposed hook material. Exposed hooks can attract hair, fluff, fibres and other debris, which can become embedded in the fastening over time.

Storing Your HUSK Boots
Once your boots are clean and completely dry, we recommend keeping them in a HUSK Storage Bag. This provides an additional layer of protection and helps prevent hair, dust and other debris from attaching to the boots while they are not in use.
Take particular care to store your boots away from fabrics that naturally shed fibres, including brushed cotton, wool and other fluffy or fibrous materials. Loose fibres can easily attach themselves to exposed hook-and-loop fastenings and may reduce their effectiveness over time.

Storing Your HUSK Saddle Pads
HUSK saddle pads are best stored hanging up in a clean, dry and well-aerated space.
Hanging allows air to circulate freely around the saddle pad and helps it remain fresh and completely dry between uses. Avoid folding or storing a saddle pad while it is still damp, and always allow it to dry thoroughly before putting it away for any length of time.
